""How long does it take to get addicted to a new product? Well, in the
case of Second Skin Naturals' Hawaiian Equine Shield it took us all of
one time using it. It kept the bugs off our horses, which of course
makes them so much more comfortable and a lot more pleasant to be
around. Secondly, it smells great, the fresh scent of Lemon Eucalyptus
is way more uplifting than the chemical smell of conventional fly
sprays, which instantly give me a head ache and are therefore avoided.
The lower note of the Neem oil can be smelled for a long time and is
just lovely, not to mention that the oil makes the horses' coats so
very shiny and gorgeous. I have used it on and around those slow
healing little sores, that the flies find every time and aggravate and
have observed a much speedier healing process, mostly likely aided by
the many beneficial herbs and oils. I am experimenting with using the
Equine Shield on rain rot and it appears to have a positive effect on
reducing it, no doubt due to the anti fungal properties of the
ingredients in this product. I started out spraying the horses
liberally and then found that a little goes a long way, just spray a
fine mist on the coat and gently spread it with your hands, makes it
cost effective. Happily endorsed by the seven Equines in our family."
